 Primary Function: Facilitate and conduct a well-rounded program in youth development by implementing academic activities that enable youth to become proficient in core educational disciplines and apply learning to everyday situations. Engage children in exciting academic activities and interventions. Florida Certified Teachers will facilitate projects, tutoring &amp; intervention activities, career readiness, STEM activities, hands-on and guided learning, and all academic components of 21st CCLC program.

<li>Provide targeted support for identified members.</li>
<li>Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, Project Directors, Club Directors, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.</li>
<li>Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.</li>
<li>Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.</li>
<li>Understand how to plan for effective classroom instruction by utilizing higher level thinking &amp;reasoning skills, central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structure of the discipline and developmental tasks.</li>
<li>Create learning experiences which foster meaningful learning experiences for all 21st CCLC participants.</li>
<li>Use innovative, appropriate, and differentiated instructional techniques and strategies.</li>
<li>Implement innovative approaches, evaluate and refine instructional strategies including the effective integration of technologies to enhance learning opportunities.</li>
<li>Monitor progress of student learning effectively using internal and external data sources.</li>
<li>Maintain consistent communication with supervisors related to the 21stCCLC program.</li>
<li>Stimulate and encourage interest in education and career development activities and encourage participation by all members.</li>
<li>Make accommodations and modify lessons to meet the needs and interests of students</li>
<li>Collaborate with Curriculum Specialists and Project Director to improve quality implementation,strengthen engagement, and increase academic achievement.</li>
<li>Participate during 21st CCLC staff meetings and teacher training.</li>
<li>Enforce Boys &amp; Girls Clubs rules and program guidelines</li>

Relationships:

<li>Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) Club members, and supervisor to receive &amp; provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines &amp; instructions; instruct; and advise &amp; counsel.</li>
<li>External: Maintain contact and build relationships with community groups, schools’ external staff and volunteers, donors and others to recruit or to assist in resolving challenges.</li>

Skills &amp; Knowledge Required:
