As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you are responsible for end-to-end accounting related to invoice processing including payment processing. This position interacts daily with Accounting and Treasury teams to make sure our vendors are paid in a timely manner. The AP/Treasury department offers a team-focused, dynamic environment that provides many challenging opportunities for developing one's financial, analytical, and organizational skillsets.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Processing of 3rd&nbsp;Party Invoices in conjunction with the cash schedule provided by accounting and other internal departments in ERP (Yardi Voyager) and Banking portal (JPMorgan Access).</li>
<li>Receive, evaluate, and process invoices and statements from vendors in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Uses established company policies and procedures to determine validity of charges.</li>
<li>Checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.</li>
<li>Debiting, crediting, and totaling accounts on ERP (Yardi Voyager) and spreadsheets.</li>
<li>Assist in research and reconciliation of bank statements as needed.</li>
<li>Setup of vendors following company policies to maintain accurate and prevent fraudulent transactions.</li>
<li>Maintaining a high level of accuracy when coding expenses by using historical information, budgets, and other sources to ensure items are correctly recorded in the General Ledger.</li>
<li>Assist with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects, as needed.</li>

Qualifications

<li>Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required.</li>
<li>2+ years of accounts payable experience required, preferably in a high-volume environment .</li>
<li>Familiarity with ERP (Yardi Voyager)&nbsp;</li>

<li>Excellent people and communication skills, with a service-minded, willing-to-help, and proactive attitude.</li>

<li>Replenish merchandise on a daily basis to ensure all styles and color-ways are represented properly on the sales floor at all times</li>
<li>Assist in maintaining cleanliness of store and merchandise room</li>
<li>Process incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments as needed</li>

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
<ul>
<li>min 1 year of luxury retail experience for Junior and 5 years for Senior positions</li>
<li>Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends</li>
<li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Competent computer skills to work on our POS system</li>
<li>Possess and uphold a friendly, positive and professional behavior</li>
<li>Ability to identify, assess and react to customer needs, floor awareness, etc.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift boxes, move selling floor fixtures and climb stairs</li>
