Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for injury prevention, assessment, management and rehabilitation of all athletic related injuries. This is a full-time, 12 month position.
The Assistant Athletic Trainer will:

Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse 
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse provides support and professional nursing care to patients with psychiatric/behavioral health conditions, and collaborates with mental health clinical care team and follows the individualized plan to give the patient the total care and attention they need to live a productive life

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Graduate from accredited school of Nursing with a minimum of Associate Degree</li>
<li>Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse </li>
<li>Experience working in mental/behavioral health, substance abuse setting required</li>
<li>1+ year at an internship in related field</li>
<li>Current CPR Certification</li>
<li>Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or obtained</li>
<li>KIPU knowledge preferred </li>
</ul>
Essential Job Function of the Licensed Practical Nurse
<ul>
<li>Pre-screens new patients for appropriateness for admissions based on physical assessment date, health history and daily assessments</li>
<li>Excels at performing vigilant observation</li>
<li>Screens for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication and withdrawal symptoms</li>
<li>Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, including transcribing and administering routine and prescribed medications in accordance with procedures established by the Medical Doctor and Director of Nursing</li>
<li>Records required documentation in electronic medical record accurately and timely.</li>
<li>Specializes in the provision of pain management treatment through the initial process of detoxification</li>
<li>Adheres to HIPAA regulations protects confidential patient information</li>
<li>Completes charts in a timely manner, obtaining Registered Nurses' signature as needed</li>
<li>May be required to perform other duties, or work at other FHE locations as required</li>
</ul>
Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities 
<ul>
<li>Previous work with substance use disorders preferred</li>
<li>knowledge of addiction and recovery preferred </li>
<li>IV &amp; Phlebotomy proficient preferred </li>
<li>Knowledge of drug classifications and respective medication protocol</li>
<li>Knowledge of CARF, DCF, and Joint Commission Standards, preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge of infection control and risk management </li>
