The Florida Veterinary Referral Center (FVRC) in Estero, FL is hiring a full- time Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding Surgery team!
 Compensation: Based on experience
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5pm&nbsp;

Position Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>
Support surgical admissions, client communication, medical record accuracy, and discharge coordination
</li>
<li>
Prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre-op diagnostics, bloodwork, and radiographs
</li>
<li>
Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover anesthesia; perform accurate drug and CRI calculations
</li>
<li>
Set up and break down operating rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
</li>
<li>
Act as scrub nurse and maintain strict aseptic technique during procedures
</li>
<li>
Circulate in the OR, anticipate surgeon needs, and aseptically open instruments/supplies
</li>
<li>
Clip, prep, position, and connect patients to monitoring equipment for surgery
</li>
<li>
Maintain, clean, wrap, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment
</li>
<li>
Handle, prepare, and submit histopathology and microbiology samples
</li>
<li>
Support emergency transfers, hospitalized patients, and provide clear communication across teams
</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 3&nbsp;years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in surgical or emergency settings.&nbsp;High school diploma or equivalent required, LVT certification is prioritized.</li>
<li>Have an understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy,&nbsp;laboratory equipment and procedures, etc. with a strong understanding of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and aseptic technique, familiarity with surgical equipment cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization.</li>
<li>Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.</li>
<li>Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) are required; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.</li>
