POSITION: Airflow &amp; Test Technician 
LOCATION: Jupiter, FL. 
STATUS: Hourly-Exempt 

Job Summary:
The Airflow &amp; Test Technician position to support the development and testing of industrial gas turbine combustion system components. Candidate will be a member of the Flow Testing and Instrumentation Lab and will work closely with combustion engineers to develop and carry out testing procedures. 

Essential duties &amp; responsibilities
The essential functions of the job include the following:
<ul>
<li>Perform air flow tests on Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) components</li>
<li>Support following hardware in the shop and at vendors facilities</li>
<li>Develop procedures for flow testing of industrial gas turbine components</li>
<li>Assist in fixture design for flow testing</li>
<li>Maintain flow testing equipment to ensure validity of test results</li>
<li>Set up data acquisition systems to collect test data</li>
<li>Create Technical Documentation: O&amp;M manuals, installation instructions, WI</li>
<li>ECNs processing and drawing incorporation using TeamCenter</li>
<li>Rig testing / commissioning support</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>

Education &amp; Training
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li>
<li>Higher level education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred</li>
<li>Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix</li>
</ul>

Skills/Experience
<ul>
<li>General mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on work</li>
<li>Understanding of basic fluid dynamics</li>
<li>Understanding of air flow measurement systems and techniques</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to work in a professional, friendly, team environment</li>
<li>Reliable and able to commit a schedule</li>
<li>Field work and travel may be required (up to 30%)</li>
