The position of Project Developer will be part of the Development Team reporting to the VP of Development. 
 
As a Project Developer specializing in renewable energy, you will lead the development of wind and solar power projects from inception through operation. A key aspect of this role is managing and coordinating Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various disciplines to ensure the successful execution of projects. You will oversee the integration of specialized knowledge into all phases of project development, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with organizational objectives.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including budgets, schedules, risk registers and resource allocation, ensuring the integration of SME insights into planning processes; </li>
<li>Lead all aspects of project development, from prospecting to executing stages, including: land acquisition, stakeholder and permitting, engineering and interconnection activities, etc. Work closely with internal resources and SMEs, such as the legal, engineering, permitting and energy assessment teams;</li>
<li>Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, utilities, and local communities, leveraging SME expertise to address concerns and facilitate approvals;</li>
<li>Secure land surface rights to design, permit, construct, operate, and maintain wind / solar power projects;</li>
<li>Oversee the permitting process at local, state, and federal levels, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained with input from relevant SMEs to meet regulatory requirements;</li>
<li>Negotiate interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, turbine supply and service agreements, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project goals;</li>
<li>Oversee the preparation of proposals that are submitted to utilities and other power buyers;</li>
<li>Manage the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third party stakeholders;</li>
<li>Communicate information continuously and effectively to cross-functional teams. </li>
<li>Provide reports to management by producing regular and frequent pipeline updates, project status updates, and other reporting documents;</li>
<li>Work with financial analysts to assess project viability, incorporating SME evaluations of technical and regulatory factors into financial models;</li>
<li>Deliver on target volume, revenue, and margin goals for off-take agreements from wind and solar projects</li>
<li>Assess market indicators, regulations and incentives affecting customer demand for renewable energy</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Summary:
Verigent's client is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join their growing team in West Palm Beach, Florida, supporting cabling and low voltage projects in new construction environments.
 
Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing low voltage and cabling installations on new construction sites.
• Support senior project managers in managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with contractors, technicians, vendors, and site supervisors to ensure timely project execution.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including reports, drawings, change orders, and meeting notes.
• Monitor project progress and assist with resolving field issues as they arise.
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
 
Qualifications:
• 1-3+ years of experience in project coordination or management (low voltage, cabling, or construction projects preferred).
• Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber optic, security, or other low voltage systems a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites and collaborate with field teams.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar software) desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
