<li>Inspecting construction work</li>
<li>Conducting field tests</li>
<li>Writes daily inspection reports, performs verification testing, and documents test results and observations</li>
<li>Assists in all types of record keeping and field measurements, as needed</li>
<li>Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator</li>
</ul>
What you need to have:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Two (2) years of experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction OR</li>
<li>An Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering Degree</li>
<li>The qualified candidate should possess or have the ability to earn following required qualifications and certifications within one year (qualifications/certifications are provided by Volkert)
<ul>
<li>FDOT certifications</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and immediate ability to work in the United States</li>
<li>Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana, Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines. Valid driver's license.</li>
<li>A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).</li>
<li>If applicable to the position, a post offer fit for duty evaluation to ensure the individual can safely perform the essential functions of the role.</li>
