POSITION OVERVIEW

POSITION PURPOSE: The Security Officer II is responsible for providing a secure and safe building for peers, staff, patients, and providers. POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: A minimum of a High School Diploma, or GED with one-year experience working as a Security Officer. General knowledge of security duties. Educational courses in Law Enforcement desired. Licensure / Certification: Florida State unarmed Guard License desired. Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Must have an active Florida Driver’s License. Skills / Ability: Ability to use good judgment and tact in working with persons of various ethnic backgrounds. Good physical condition to run and restrain patients. Hours: Forty hours per week, five days per week, and nights as scheduled. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (THIS IS A NON-EXEMPT POSITION) On each assigned tour of duty: Maintains crowd control for all CHI patient care and mall areas. Provides immediate response to pages and radio calls. Ensure that lights are turned on or off as required.
