Construction Mechanics Inc is seeking for a Terrazzo Grinder who will be preparing and finishing terrazzo surfaces, typically involving mixing, pouring, and grinding terrazzo materials to create a smooth, durable, and decorative finish. This role requires using various tools and machines to grind, polish, and cut terrazzo, as well as ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
•Mixing and Applying Terrazzo Materials:
Mix cement, sand, pigment, or marble chips to create terrazzo mixtures, which are then poured and spread to form the desired surface.
•Grinding and Polishing:
After the terrazzo sets, grinders use power grinders and polishing machines to smooth the surface, remove imperfections, and achieve a uniform finish.
•Cutting and Shaping:
May also cut metal division strips to create joints, patterns, or prevent cracks, as well as grind curved surfaces or inaccessible areas using portable hand grinders.
•Surface Preparation:
Prepare substrates by ensuring a solid foundation for the flooring system, using rakes, shovels, and other tools to level and smooth concrete or terrazzo mixtures.
•Cleaning and Maintenance:
