POSITION SUMMARY: 
Kanner &amp; Pintaluga, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm, handles auto accidents, premise liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death cases, nursing home abuse and first-party home and business property damage throughout the State of Florida. 
We are seeking an experienced Plaintiff Appellate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in appellate advocacy, exceptional legal writing and research skills, and a deep commitment to representing plaintiffs' interests. This role involves handling appeals from the trial court to the appellate court, including drafting briefs, presenting oral arguments, and providing strategic guidance on legal and appellate issues. It also involves providing legal trial support to attorneys during trial.
 Appellate Attorneys each have approximately 10-20 active appeals and work directly with one paralegal to assist them with ongoing cases.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Handle all aspects of appellate cases, including brief writing, oral arguments, and motions practice.</li>
<li>Provide on-site legal trial support to attorneys while they are in the process of trying cases in court.</li>
<li>Meeting with attorneys and reviewing drafts of filings on substantive legal motions and responses such as summary judgement and post-judgment matters.</li>
<li>Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues.</li>
<li>Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop and execute litigation and appellate strategies.</li>
<li>Draft clear, persuasive, and well-reasoned legal briefs and memoranda.</li>
<li>Present oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts.</li>
<li>Stay current on legal developments and changes in appellate law.</li>
<li>Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.</li>
</ul>
REQUIREMENTS &amp; SKILLS:
<ul>
<li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li>
<li>Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate litigation, preferably on the plaintiff's side.</li>
<li>Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.</li>
<li>Excellent oral advocacy skills with experience arguing cases before appellate courts.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.</li>
<li>Commitment to ethical practice and client advocacy.</li>
