This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining high-quality food production across casual dining, fine dining, catering, and banquet settings. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative team environment while ensuring operational excellence.
Duties

<li>Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.</li>
<li>Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs using systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.</li>
<li>Train and develop kitchen staff on food safety, proper handling, sanitation procedures, and culinary techniques.</li>
<li>Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure efficient workflow during peak hours in quick service or full-service restaurant settings.</li>
<li>Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee POS operations including cash handling procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety and sanitation standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless customer service experiences.</li>
<li>Assist in menu planning, new product development, and maintaining consistency in food quality.</li>
<li>Lead team meetings, conduct interviews for new hires, and participate in staff performance evaluations.</li>
<li>Manage budgets related to food costs and labor to optimize profitability while maintaining high standards of hospitality.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen management within casual dining, fine dining, catering, or banquet environments.</li>
<li>Extensive culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.</li>
<li>Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.</li>
<li>Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to train staff and manage teams effectively.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills with experience in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management.</li>
<li>Prior supervisory experience in hospitality or food service management is required.</li>
<li>Knowledge of food industry standards including sanitation regulations and HACCP guidelines.</li>
<li>Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li>
<li>Hospitality management background including hotel or bar experience is a plus; culinary training or certification is preferred.
