Job Summary
Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated individual for the role of Retail Director of Dining Service I at the University of Miami in vibrant Miami, FL! Job Summary
 Summary: Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned kitchen, food production and food-service associates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food. Ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met. </li>
<li>Supervises hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action. </li>
<li>Efficiently prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery and service schedules. Serves meals or prepares for delivery. </li>
<li>Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures. </li>
<li>Tracks food use, waste and consumption to requisition or purchase product. </li>
<li>Receives and inspects product and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory. </li>
<li>Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils. Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area. Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production and merchandising requirements. </li>
<li>Helps select and develop recipes and menus. </li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li>

JOB SUMMARY:
A Driver is responsible for safely operating a commercial truck to transport materials from one destination to another. They drive long distances while adhering to strict federal and state regulations governing commercial vehicle operation. This includes following hours of service limits, maintaining vehicle standards, and ensuring compliance with rest periods. Additionally, drivers are trained in safe driving practices. 
 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Safely operate company vehicles, including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.</li>
<li>Transport materials and equipment within the yard or between different locations.</li>
<li>Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.</li>
<li>Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles. </li>
<li>Follow all DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Comply with all company and customer safety rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, and fuel usage.</li>
<li>Responsible for daily hours of service compliance and DVIR reporting on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Attend mandatory monthly safety meetings.</li>
</ul>

REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Candidates will need to have a minimum of 24 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. </li>
<li>Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License.</li>
<li>Clean MVR with no chargeable accidents that exceed three (3) points.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work a Monday – Saturday schedule.</li>
<li>Must pass pre-employment DOT drug/alcohol test and pre-employment road test.</li>
</ul>
