The focus is on the needs of adult patients and their families regarding health promotion and management of conditions that require acute and chronic care. The nursing process is used in the discussion of health alterations affecting selected life processes. Students continue their professional skill development as members of the health team.
In this role, the clinical instructor:
<ul>
<li>Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession.</li>
<li>Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.</li>
<li>Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals.</li>
<li>Evaluates and provides documented feedback to student on level of performance based on course objectives.</li>
<li>Is available for remediation of students as required or needed.</li>
<li>Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency/clinical personnel.</li>
<li>Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs.</li>
<li>Grades homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work in a timely manner.</li>
<li>May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.</li>
<li>Keeps course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.</li>
<li>Reports to the dean or assistant dean: a course coordinator will also provide direct oversight.</li>

Qualifications

Job Description
NBI is nationally and internationally recognized as a leading psychological assessment, treatment, and training center. Postdoctoral residents at NBI have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, autism, and other conditions, individually and in groups. NBI offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), a supportive residential setting, and Comprehensive Care Plans. Clinical behavior analysis (CBA), executive function training, and nutritional guidance are also among our services. During their clinical residency, postdoctoral residents will gain experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including exposure and response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), as well as participate in a collaborative team approach, outreach, and program development.
 Application Qualifications:
All Residents must have completed a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited academic program before beginning the post-doctoral residency.
All Residents must have completed 2,000 hours in an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in Psychology prior to the start of the residency year.
Residents with a specific interest in the treatment of neurobiological conditions and/or prior clinical training or research experience with these populations will be preferred.
Residents who have prior experience or training in Cognitive Behavioral treatments are encouraged to apply.
COMPENSATION: 52k + 2k in continuing education plus benefits (vacation days, federal holidays, health insurance, dental, vision, professional training time, licensing exam release time, and 401K after one year of employment). NBI's postdoctoral training program is a current member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC)
