Opportunity Overview:
Substation Construction Manager position is an onsite based in King Texas. Per diem is available at GSA rates. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You would need to have experience leading construction, including monitoring tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts. You will perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audits construction quality, ensuring and specifications. You can resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track. You will report to the onsite Manager.
Your Day-to-Day:

<li>You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed</li>

<li>Familiar with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits</li>
<li>Work with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders</li>
<li>Perform material procurement and material take offs</li>
<li>Review project after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for</li>
<li>improvement</li>
<li>Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials in hazardous environments and across uneven ground</li>
<li>Maintain clean and organized work area</li>
<li>Promote communications with direct reports to enhance teamwork and report issues</li>
<li>Word, Project) and potentially specialized software for substation construction</li>
<li>Turnover and support Commissioning efforts through energization</li>

Who You Are:
<ul>
<li>Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>Relevant Experience: 6 or more years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.</li>

This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) The Construction Manager oversees the on-site construction of utility-scale solar projects from Notice-to-Proceed to Commercial Operation Date. <li>Review and coordinate with project manager on project forecast and risk tracker changes.</li>
<li>Support scheduling and coordination of project commissioning and close-out activities, with support from the EPC partner.</li>
<li>Review of Job Book documentation and mechanical completion guarantees to ensure compliance before signing completion certificates.</li>
<li>Support business management, finance, and off-taker/3rd party engineering close out with documentation and as-built follow-up.</li>
<li>Support the hand-off of project to the Power Generation Group at COD.</li>
<li>In addition to these tasks, the Construction Manager will train the construction site team reporting to them, with support from the Project manager and Subject Matter Coaches.</li>

Who You Are:
<ul>
<li>Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>Relevant Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.</li>
