<li>Oversee monthly scheduling of Journey Kids volunteers for Elementary Classes </li>
<li>Ensure scheduled volunteers are prepared for their roles (email out curriculum)</li>
<li>Weekly schedule updates/reminders as well as follow-up phone calls </li>
<li>Send out monthly birthday cards to kids and leaders</li>
<li>Raising up and training Coaches</li>
<li>Oversee strategy and execution of scheduling for all volunteers</li>
<li>Parent relationships and connections to bridge the gap between church and home</li>
<li>Create excellent environments for kids with consistent evaluation and systematic improvements</li>
<li>Ordering of supplies needed for room</li>
<li>Occasional support to other campuses as needed to ensure they are resourced for children with special needs attending there</li>
</ul>
Qualifications / Experience:
<ul>
<li>Experience working with Special Needs children is preferred.</li>
<li>Strong communicator and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Servant Leader with a love for people</li>
<li>Team Player while still being able to work well independently </li>
<li>Highly organized in time, material, and people resources</li>
<li>Skilled in managing projects</li>
<li>Capability to handle multiple projects effectively Experience in organizing multiple people</li>

<li>Passionate about children and families</li>
<li>Some ministry experience preferred but not required</li>

Summary Description
The Pine School Substitute Teacher is responsible for carrying out lesson plans and classroom procedures, as set forth by the Teacher, in an engaging and meaningful way. The Substitute Teacher will ensure a quality learning experience to all children in his/her care. The Substitute Teacher must possess the knowledge and theoretical grounding necessary to instruct the Elementary or Middle School student, utilizing age-appropriate methods, strategies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Follow the lesson plans of the absent teacher and ensure optimal, engaging learning for students.
● Assign classwork and homework as prescribed by the teacher.
● Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting lesson objectives
● Maintain a positive learning environment for students.
● Manage classroom behavior and ensure that students make progress toward learning goals for the day.
● Supervise students outside of the classroom, in hallways, at lunch, at recess, and at drop off and pick up, if required.
● Other responsibilities as assigned by administration
Qualification Requirements
● A bachelor’s degree and teaching experience are preferred.
● Ability to develop rapport with students and exhibits enjoyment in working with students.
● Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency.
● High -energy and enthusiastic about working in an academic atmosphere with both adults and children.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Prolonged periods standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
