Position Overview
The basic function of the Behavior Analyst in this position is to provide one-on-one aid related to the delivery of applied behavior analysis services for children who require behavioral services in their school setting.
The BCBA must be able to attend the school Mondays-Fridays (Florida School Contractor Badge necessary).
The BCBA must be able to deliver in person 1:1 ABA throughout the school day.
The BCBA must be able to utilize protocol modifications to come up with targets and goals to work on during the school day.
We require a BCBA that is able to work roughly 30 hours a week with a student in the classroom directly delivering services. These 30 hours can be split up each week however is most comfortable for the BCBA's schedule. The primary case is for 25 hours M-F and a protocol modification an additional 2 hours per week. There is another case at a nearby school that will allow for an additional 7 hours, plus 1 hour of protocol modification. For a total of 35 hours maximum a week.
Requirements and Qualifications
Masters Diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, and BCBA certification.
Experience
At least 2 years of experience providing direct services to consumers with developmental disorders or at least 120 hours of direct services to consumers with complex behavior problems, as defined in Chapter 65B-4.031 (2), F.A.C., or 40 hours of instruction in applied behavior analysis in the following areas:

<li>Introduction to applied behavior analysis basic principles and function of behavior</li>
<li>Providing positive consequences planned ignoring, and stop-redirect-reinforce techniques</li>
<li>Data collection and charting</li>
<li>Either a certificate of completion or a college or a university transcript and a course content description, verifying the Behavior Analyst completed the required instruction, will be accepted as proof of instruction.</li>

Training
Proof of annual or required updated training in applied behavior analysis shall be maintained on file for review. The Behavior Analyst is responsible for all training requirements outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board and other mandatory training.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Outstanding social skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, intuitive analytical abilities, training or coursework in developmental disorders, knowledge of state, HIPAA, and Medicaid regulations, ability to handle multiple activities at the same time, access to computer and e-mail address, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to make accurate and timely decisions based in applied behavior analysis.
Authority
The Behavior Analyst is selected by the BCBA, BCaBA, Licensed Consultant, and/or Director. As an independent consultant, is delegated sufficient authority to successfully accomplish all assigned duties, responsibilities, goals and objectives assigned to the position.
Responsibilities and Duties

<li>Become familiar with the Behavior Analysis Service Plan (BASP)</li>

<li>Report any incidents of Client Rights, Health/Safety/Welfare violations; Being incident report for any abuse/neglect situations observed or reported to you, and inform the BCBA/BCaBA/Licensed professional immediately</li>

Additional Duties

<li>Track hours of service and stay within budgeted time frame</li>
<li>Provide behavior data, graphic display, and monthly progress report by e-mail to the BCBA, BCaBA, or Licensed Consultant on the last day of the month</li>
<li>Provide the complete timesheet in person to the BCBA and by email by the first week of each month</li>
<li>Following the first 60 days of employment, and quarterly thereafter:</li>
<li>Participate in a formal performance review with the BCBA/BCaBA/Licensed Consultant and the Clinical Director</li>
<li>Attend meetings as policies and procedures change</li>
<li>Maintain a home office with access to computer/e-mail and copying capabilities</li>
<li>Return phone calls within 4 hours and emails within 24 hours</li>
<li>Notify BCBA/BCaBA/Licensed Consultant and Clinical Director of vacation time to post in the agency calendar with at least 2 weeks notice but preferably as soon as you commence planning.</li>
