Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), assisting in the implementation and delivery of clinical services to patients and families. Provides care to Treasure Coast Hospice patients as directed by the Registered Nurse. 
Qualifications

<li>Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant from the Florida State Board of Nursing.</li>
<li>Must be Certified Hospice and Palliative Registered Nurse (CHPNA) within 12 months.</li>

The ideal candidate will have experience performing 12-lead EKGs and assisting with cardiac stress testing procedures, including treadmill, pharmacologic (Lexiscan), nuclear, and stress echocardiograms.
 
Monitor Technicians who plan to earn their CCT certification within 6 months are also encouraged to apply.
 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Perform accurate 12-lead EKGs</li>
<li>Assist with stress testing (Bruce, Modified Bruce, Lexiscan, nuclear)</li>
<li>Measure and record blood pressure during procedures</li>
<li>Start and manage IV lines (or become proficient within 6 months)</li>
<li>Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after testing</li>
<li>Recognize cardiac rhythms, artifacts, and ischemic changes</li>
<li>Maintain clean and functional testing areas and equipment</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Current BLS certification (AHA required)</li>
<li>Completion of EKG training or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Prior EKG or cardiac testing experience required</li>
<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills</li>
<li>Reliable and detail-oriented</li>
<li>Knowledge of cardiac medications and testing protocols preferred</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently</li>
<li>Frequent standing and walking during procedures</li>
</ul>
