This role is responsible for owning the company’s external financial reporting and public company compliance activities. The purpose of the Automotive Accounting Office Manager in North Palm is to supervise a team responsible for processing accounting responsibilities for the North Palm Schumacher dealership. Automotive Accounting Office Manager - Essential Duties
<ul>
<li>Hires, trains, and supervises office personnel.</li>
<li>Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures.</li>
<li>Utilizes CDK accounting software to manage and streamline accounting operations, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Trains staff on CDK software functionalities and ensure efficient utilization of the system across the department.</li>
<li>Generates and analyze CDK reports and data to support financial planning and decision-making processes.</li>
<li>Controls all posted documents, including time records, vehicle deals, commissions and additions and changes to inventory.</li>
<li>Prepares daily bank deposit and cash report.</li>
<li>Controls petty cash amounts for dealership and sales department.</li>
<li>Reconciles select accounts monthly.</li>
<li>Approves adjustments to inventory and receivable accounts.</li>
<li>Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.</li>
<li>Prints monthly journals, schedules and general ledger. Closes month by processing accounting month-end.</li>
<li>Assists in completion of annual audit.</li>
<li>Stays abreast of current factory incentives and codes deliveries on dealership computer system accordingly.</li>
<li>Administers charge-back program for late charges to inventory.</li>
<li>Prepares monthly floor plan reconciliation</li>
<li>Prepares sales commission/chargeback detail reports.</li>
<li>Manages the payoff of vehicle floor plan and works with bank representatives.</li>
<li>Approves new charge accounts and oversees collection of past due accounts.</li>
<li>Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by management and/or dealer principal.</li>
<li>Cross-trains a qualified substitute.</li>
<li>Keeps an updated file of all dealership job descriptions.</li>
<li>Maintains a professional appearance.</li>
<li>Attends managers meetings as requested.</li>
<li>Other tasks as assigned.</li>

Education/Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Proven 3 years minimum work experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.</li>
<li>Experience working with CDK, Dealertrack and/or other dealership accounting systems is preferable.</li>
<li>Advanced computer skills on MS Office, specifically Excel.</li>
<li>Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and GAAP accounting.</li>
<li>BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.</li>
<li>Experience managing employees required.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting is crucial. This includes managing financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and interpreting financial data to guide strategic decisions.</li>
<li>Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to collaborate effectively and provide financial insights to support decision-making.</li>
