The Certified Technician's role&nbsp;is to service&nbsp;and repair&nbsp;vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures. The role is focused on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability of the department.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and Dealerships standards.</li>
<li>Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment</li>
<li>Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.</li>
<li>Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs</li>
<li>Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards</li>
<li>Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules</li>
<li>Attends meetings, training, and educational classes as require</li>
<li>Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs</li>
<li>Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications</li>

Skills/Qualifications:
Certified Technician/Mechanic

<li>Post-secondary automotive training, certification or equivalent work experience</li>
<li>ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)</li>
<li>3-5 years of automotive dealer-level experience preferred</li>
