Responsibilities:

<li>Build rapport &amp; trust with clients</li>
<li>Build &amp; maintain relationships with various professional partners for networking purposes</li>

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Early Learning Academy Director is responsible to plan, organize, implement, coordinate, and control services of the early learning program, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including budget, policies, procedures, and staff supervision. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Early Learning, the Director operates the program in conformance with institutional regulations and state licensing provisions. Responsibilities include the overall management of the Academy’s early learning program and its operation, facilitating, planning, and coordinating of the children's educational programs and activities in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives for Youth Development.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Ensures the appropriate application of curriculum in all classrooms and collaborates with ED of Early Learning to identify industry trends.</li>
<li>Oversees social, academic, and emotional development of the students</li>
<li>Develops and implements program operating policies and activities as required and develops cost estimates for future program needs.</li>
<li>Expends budgeted funds according to association guidelines; responsible for ensuring that program operates within budgetary parameters established; if circumstances cause the budget to exceed or create the potential for the budget to be exceeded, plans, and implement cost reduction strategies.</li>
<li>Identifies, plans, develops, schedules, and provides in-service training and evaluation of Early Learning Academy staff.</li>
<li>Ensures that the academy location and staff conform to federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and licensing requirements and fosters positive relationships with appropriate agents.</li>
<li>Recruits and schedules children for the academy location; maintains accurate records on children enrolled in the program to include their development, attendance, immunization, and general health; conducts program registration, and maintains appropriate files and waiting lists.</li>
<li>Prepares reports to all required agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of all children cared for at the location.</li>
<li>Confers with parents on a regular basis to discuss the development of their enrolled children.</li>
<li>Conducts marketing campaigns, maintains public relations with parents and prospective clients.</li>
<li>Prepares and maintains administrative and business reports and records of the location; records all fee payments and prepares billing late payments and follow-up actions when necessary; reviews income and expense, statistical, and budget status reports to develop and maintain sound financial status of program; analyzes problems in these areas and makes recommendations to resolve them or take corrective action; prepares billing reports on child care center use.</li>
<li>Implements contracts with funding agencies.</li>
<li>Assists staff in preparing for and presenting early childhood programs and activities; directs the organization and follow-up of special activities such as off-campus field trips; assists as necessary with duties of instructional assistants.</li>
<li>Ensures that problems encountered by staff are resolved; alter policies or procedures to ensure smooth operation of program.</li>
<li>Collaborates with other association Early Learning Academy Directors and Assistant Directors to foster a culture of sharing and open communication.</li>
<li>Conducts team meetings to provide an opportunity for sharing of knowledge, feedback, and learning.</li>
<li>Responsible for upholding all staff safety requirements including cleaning protocols throughout the day, as required by my department.</li>
<li>Orders and maintains program supplies and equipment.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Three or more years of Early Childhood Education experience.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field of study.</li>
<li>Bilingual preferred but not required </li>
<li>Ability to direct all operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.</li>
<li>Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.</li>
<li>Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.</li>
<li>Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.</li>
<li>Successfully complete DCF background screening requirements as well as meet the association policies on background screening.</li>

What This Role Is…
As a Software Engineering Manager, the primary of this position is responsible for managing the individuals within the software engineering team. This includes activities such as hiring, mentoring, coaching, developing and fostering a positive team culture. Involved in high-level planning and decision-making processes, aligning the team's goals with the organization's objectives and outcomes. Responsible for process improvement by working closely with Product teams and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance the team's productivity and efficiency and introduce new tools, methodologies, or best practices to optimize the development process. Responsible for providing definition, direction, and leadership to all members of assigned development teams. Product development, efficiency improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction, and reliability and performance improvements.
Executes and manages in accordance with strategic plans for building organizational capability, capacity and agility. The Software Engineering Manager is also responsible to support the software engineering team within the Technology Department, and act as the main point of contact for software engineers assigned to their team.
This includes, but is not limited to, all technical story cards assigned, all HR, management system CFOS, IDP, CAP, PIP, and administrative responsibilities. Responsible for meeting strategic product or functional teams goals by providing leadership, resources, and support for the software engineering team of individual contributors and leads to deliver value to internal and external customers. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Technology Department at CITY Furniture.

What You’ll Do…
As a Software Engineering Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to:
<ul>
<li>Plan &amp; Manage Software Engineering/Development Lifecycle.</li>
<li>Apply understanding of industry trends and business implications in making software engineering decisions, assists with providing technical roadmaps, design and technical specifications, and master schedule and project plan.</li>
<li>Participate in daily, weekly, monthly Agile rituals (Standup, Refinement, Planning, Estimations, Demos, Show and tell, Retrospective, etc.</li>
<li>Manage a team and lead product design and development activities that meet or exceed defined customer requirements; identify and resolve technical issues at a high‐level and help team assess design requirements and how to execute.</li>
<li>Encourage individual and team efforts around product design and development.</li>
<li>Communicate the business / technical roadmap and lead assigned team through the development process, leveraging development resources across the department, as well as various partners.</li>
<li>Recognize design or development deficiencies and implement effective solutions.</li>
<li>Communicate the value of and enforce sound engineering design process and quality practices, software estimation, coding standards, technical documentation standards, QA processes, build, and configuration management; manage compliance for standard policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Work with Product Office (Agile Teams) to develop and sustain detailed software engineering and development plans and resource allocation.</li>
<li>Oversee technical project execution by collaborating and working with product managers, QA, and Cloud Services to ensure smooth delivery within the teams.</li>
<li>Monitor and supervise day‐to‐day activities of a team including technical design, work breakdown, code reviews, unit testing, launch plans and overall ownership of schedule, quality and budget; ensures the technical team are contributing to our code library.</li>
</ul>
Additional duties and responsibilities as a Software Engineering Manager:
<ul>
<li>Conduct all IDP, PIP, and CAP activities for development team members assigned.</li>
<li>Participate in and support a culture where employees are highly motivated, energetic, excited and enthusiastic working for the company.</li>
<li>Supervise individual contributors in accordance with company policies.</li>
<li>Conduct interviews, hire new individual contributors, and provide employee orientation.</li>
<li>Coach and provide career development advice to staff (IDP).</li>
<li>Manage the development of direct reports.</li>
<li>Identify and fulfill formal and informal training needs to meet the skills and experience requirements of the team and supports business goals (CTM).</li>
<li>Address performance and policy issues and provides ongoing and corrective feedback in a timely and constructive manner (CAP/PIP).</li>
<li>Manage staff scheduling to meet business goals including work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back‐up for absent employees, and shift rotations.</li>
<li>Escalate issues to Tech Leadership if unable to resolve (Sr. Software Engineering Manager, Director, Managing Director, VP, VP).</li>
<li>Assist staff in resolving complex or out‐of‐policy operation.</li>
<li>Mitigate team conflict and communicate problems through coaching and conflict resolution.</li>
<li>Provide input to Tech management regarding appropriate staffing levels needed to meet departmental goals.</li>
