SALARY: $76,564.80 Annually
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a directly related field and two years of progressively responsible database experience; or any equivalent combination of directly related education, training and/or experience. Position Summary:
This is responsible advanced technical work in the management of database services in Alachua County Information &amp; Telecommunication Services Department. An employee assigned to this classification develops, designs, modifies, monitors and maintains database servers and infrastructure. Work is performed under the general direction of a higher level supervisor and is reviewed through conferences, reports and observation of results obtained.
Examples of Duties:
This is an emergency essential classification. Upon declaration of a disaster and/or emergency, all employees in this classification are required to work.

Installs, maintains and configures databases and application data across different database servers.
 Monitors and reports database functions and overall system health.
Develops database applications, stored procedures and SQL statements for various applications. Performs Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations to migrate data between systems. Participates and assists with upgrades and patch management for servers on which the databases are installed and maintained.

Maintains and configures overall database security for databases and applications.
Works with vendors to install, configure and maintain third party databases and applications. Evaluates existing databases and makes recommendations for improving operational efficiency for improved productivity.

Creates and maintains customized database reports, performs data analysis and works with customers to evaluate database needs.

Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Follow all company safety policies
• Demonstrate proper use of PPE and all protection equipment
• Follow Hazcom, Excavation, Trenching, and Silica Safety Programs
• Adhere ta the Water Damage Plan
• Check all layout dimensions of rough ins
• Present a positive image to customers, co-workers, and others on the job
• Be willing to take direction and learn
• Have working knowledge of hand and power tools
• Ensure proper installation of plumbing systems
• Proficiency in soldering and blazing copper systems
• Ability to read blueprints and submittals
• Performs testing and disinfection of plumbing systems and inspections
• Aid in training and development of plumbing apprentice
• Willing to acquire certifications

Qualifications:
&nbsp;
• High school diploma/Trade school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing trade
• Certifications in 10hr OSHA forklift/lull and aerial lift
• Competent person in CPR First Aid
&nbsp;
Work Environment:
• Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders. Must be comfortable working from heights (over 20 feet is common). Walking and lifting weight of twenty pounds or more are required in daily performance of job. Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing, pulling, and material handling. Use of torso and lower extremities required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, and squatting.
