Since 1958, BBBS of Miami has been South Floridas premier mentoring organization, preparing future leaders in the community by matching youth (Littles) with committed adult mentors (Bigs). These relationships empower Littles to become productive members of the community.
Position Purpose We are currently seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Alumni &amp; Individual Giving Manager to strengthen and expand our community of individual, alumni, and Bigs supporters. This role will be essential in growing BBBS Miamis individual giving strategies and executing targeted campaigns that support our mission.
The Alumni &amp; Individual Giving Manager reports to the VP of Development and is responsible for managing and growing BBBS Miamis individual donor pipeline, with a primary focus on gifts under $10,000. This role will personally lead our annual giving initiatives, build a structured alumni and Bigs giving strategy and network, and support the broader Development team with proposal creation and donor appeals.
The position maintains responsibility for stewardship of their own donor and alumni portfolio and works in close collaboration with the Development Team to ensure a consistent, meaningful, and personalized donor experience.
Essential and Other Responsibilities (perform other duties as assigned):
Alumni &amp; Bigs Engagement Strategy 30%
<ul>
<li>Design and execute a comprehensive alumni and Bigs engagement and giving strategy</li>
<li>Create pathways for former Littles and Bigs to participate as donors, ambassadors, volunteers, and mentors</li>
<li>Collaborate with program and engagement teams to identify alumni prospects</li>
<li>Develop targeted messaging, storytelling initiatives, and donor journeys tailored to alumni and Big audiences</li>
<li>Transition highly engaged alumni and Bigs into consistent annual supporters</li>
<li>Formation and management of a BBBS Miami Alumni Association to engage and steward alumni Littles &amp; Bigs</li>
</ul>
Annual Giving 30%
<ul>
<li>Lead the planning and execution of BBBS Miamis annual giving campaigns, including Give Miami Day, year-end appeals, and other targeted initiatives</li>
<li>Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors with giving capacity under $10,000</li>
<li>Support recruitment, renewal, and engagement of BBBS Miamis Impact Circle and other giving societies</li>
<li>Assist with communication, outreach, and strategy to grow membership and retention</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for donor upgrades and deeper engagement</li>
</ul>
Proposal &amp; Request Development 30%
<ul>
<li>Draft individual donor proposals, letters of intent, and tailored requests in partnership with the Vice President of Development</li>
<li>Support the creation of funding requests tied to alumni programs and special initiatives such as the Teen Tech Center</li>
<li>Develop case statements, one-pagers, and supporting materials as needed</li>
<li>Maintain a library of proposal templates, appeals language, and donor-ready content</li>
</ul>
Appeals &amp; Campaign Communications 10%
<ul>
<li>Create and manage compelling written appeals for email, direct mail, peer-to-peer, and social campaigns</li>
<li>Develop segmented messaging for different donor audiences</li>
<li>Support campaign calendars and timelines in coordination with the Development Team</li>
<li>Track performance and propose improvements for future appeals</li>
</ul>
Collaboration &amp; Data Management
<ul>
<li>Partner with the Data &amp; Research Manager to track donor portfolios, segmentation, engagement, and results</li>
<li>Maintain accurate donor records, contact notes, and next steps in the CRM</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Events Manager to align individual and alumni engagement with events and experiences</li>
<li>Participate in Development meetings, planning sessions, and campaign evaluations</li>
</ul>
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience</li>
<li>24 years of experience in fundraising, alumni relations, or individual donor engagement</li>
<li>Strong writing and communication skills, including ability to tailor messaging to different audiences</li>
<li>Experience with donor databases/CRM systems highly preferred</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational and relationship-building skills</li>
<li>Passion for youth development and the power of mentorship</li>
<li>Flexibility to work after regular office hours for programs and events</li>
</ul>

</ul>

<li>Consistent pipeline of individual donor prospects and supporters</li>

Education and/or Credentialing Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor level degree required; Masters degree preferred.</li>
<li>CFRE or other fundraising certifications a plus</li>

Description
The Program Facilitator is responsible for implementing our after school activities including Life Skills, Homework support, Snack, outdoor games and other activities as they are added. All activities are intended to be hands-on, minds-on to engage girls in life skills training. Activities and discussions are designed to increase knowledge, strengthen self-confidence, cultivate communication and foster trusting, productive relationships among students and between students and staff.

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Associate Degree or equivalent (60 hours of undergraduate work) or currently working on;</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, with a focus on girls;</li>
<li>Committed to working with youth from a variety of demographics and communities and possess a high level of competency in cultural, linguistic, familial, ability, etc. diversity;</li>
<li>Must be punctual, prepared, have a positive attitude and be adept at using a variety of lively program techniques (brainstorming, role-playing, etc.);</li>
<li>Must be self-directed, detail-oriented with proven written and oral communication skills;</li>
<li>Must have group facilitation skills and a commitment to developing classroom management skills;</li>
<li>Must be a high-energy, caring, self-starter, innovative;</li>
<li>Organized and able to effectively maintain information for planning and record keeping purposes;</li>
<li>Proficient in Google Workspace and willingness to learn Girls Inc. specific databases;</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively and work collaboratively with youth, families and professionals;</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver license, reliable and consistent transportation and the ability to work and travel to your school site daily Monday-Friday, as well as occasionally to Opa Locka for Facilitator Trainings.</li>
