POSITION SUMMARY:
This Urgent Care Technician II is a multi-tasking Certified Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician/Registrar who works as a valued member of the patient care team. Their work responsibilities range from checking in patients to performing patient care tasks necessary to care for the pediatric patient. Key characteristics of this team member include but are not limited to: ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively, a team player, people focused, excellent customer service skills and technical skills necessary to perform this role. Two Urgent Care Technicians will work together to assure all components of the job are completed professionally, timely and efficiently.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

<li>Provides medical administrative support, including registering incoming patients needing Pediatric Urgent Care services.</li>
<li>Takes vital signs and rooms patients promptly and efficiently.</li>
<li>Prepares patient/family for expectations of visits. Anticipates provider needs based on chief complaint.</li>
<li>Document in Epic EMR: reason for visit, vital signs and task completion.</li>
<li>Administers medication, as directed by the provider, utilizing the 5 rights, every time.</li>
<li>Performs point of care testing, as ordered by the provider.</li>
<li>Performs portable plain film x-ray, as ordered by the provider.</li>
<li>Efficiently turns patient rooms over for next patient.</li>
<li>Orders patient care supplies and medications, based on utilization and par levels.</li>
<li>At end of shift, leaves area ready for the next patient day.</li>
<li>Performs follow up phone calls both to the patient and their PCP and documents such in the Epic EMR.</li>
<li>Is actively involved in discussions to assure optimal efficiency of the Urgent Care Clinic.</li>

<li>5+ years of experience as a Sonographer. Perinatal Sonography experience is required.</li>
<li>Dual registries preferred (ex. Fetal Echo, Pediatric Echocardiography, Nuchal Translucency, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Adult Echo)</li>
<li>Current BLS certification, AHA</li>
<li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.</li>

Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00PM. No weekend or holiday work.
***This position is located 50% of the time in Bradenton, FL at the Manatee County Rural Health Clinic &amp; 50% in North Port, FL at Johns Hopkins All Children's Outpatient Care Center. Both locations are approximately 50 miles apart from each other. Applicant must be able to travel between both sites. Any travel outside of home base will be compensated for time and mileage.
Salary Range: Minimum 36.52 per hour - Maximum 58.44 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.

Job Summary for MRI Technologist:
Oversee all related work in the MR department. This position maintains technical and administrative aspects of radiologic safety, evaluations for accuracy, and quality of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The MRI Supervisor may perform a variety of scanning sequences and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical details as needed. Supervise and perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed radio frequency pulsed sequences for MRI diagnosis. Assume responsibility for designated area, procedures, scheduling of work assignments, and coordinating requests for service. 
Requirements:

<li> Assign, direct, and coordinate the activities of employees' schedules, orients, trains, assure observance of policies, procedures, and work standards, check work for proper completion and apply corrective action as needed. </li>
<li>Assist with interviews of applicants for staff positions to ensure applicants meet criteria for the position. </li>
<li>Confer with and provide input to the technical director regarding employee job performance, morale, staffing, work methods, procedures, related personnel matters, and equipment performance. Perform counseling and corrective action as needed. Recommend promotions, discipline, and other administrative actions. Perform employee evaluations. </li>
<li>Responsible for handling and/or providing input to the technical director about all technical problems within or related to the various diagnostic imaging modalities. </li>
<li>Oversee and coordinate equipment maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly and providing reliable and accurate diagnostic images via contact with vendors, service contracts, preventative maintenance, and quality control. Provide immediate input to the technical director on all related issues. </li>
<li>Understand, implement, monitor, and control policies, protocols, and procedures, including those related to safety and precautions. Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor immediately.</li>

Required: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or equivalent hospital-based program.
