Job Summary

Perform Carillon Miami Wellness Resort security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, residents, employees, and the property as well as the property assets. 
<ol>
<li>Essential Job Functions</li>
</ol>

<li>Assumes Duties of the Security Manager in his/her absence</li>
<li>Ensure all safety and security personnel perform their duties following Carillon policies and procedures, and as instructed by the Director of Safety &amp; Security, Assistant Director of Safety &amp; Security, and Security Manager.</li>
<li>Develops and administers the work schedule for the security staff.</li>
<li>Conducts and oversees training of all new security officers as well as ongoing training requirements for current security officers. </li>
<li>Oversees the Security Key Control program, Key watcher, and property access control system (SALTO PROACCESS SPACE).</li>
<li>Ensure accurate input and purging of Lost &amp; Found Items in MS SHIFT.</li>
<li>Arranges for and conducts monthly safety trainings as required for Carillon Miami Wellness Resort. Additionally, department-specific safety &amp; security monthly topics.</li>
<li>Review security and safety reports for completeness and accuracy; distributes reports to other departments as required.</li>
<li>Prepares and forwards reports as requested by the Director of Safety &amp; Security, the Assistant Director of Safety &amp; Security, and the Security Manager.</li>
<li>Assist in completing payroll documentation.</li>
<li>Investigate security and safety incidents, including guest, resident, and employee interviews as necessary, document, and findings. </li>
<li>Coach &amp; Counsel Security staff when necessary.</li>
<li>Ensures cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.</li>
<li>Ensure property patrols are conducted as required.</li>
<li>Assist Carillon management when required.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate records and conducts department materials inventories when necessary.</li>
<li>Report and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately. </li>
</ul>

 III. Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of security and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a Hotel / Resort environment. </li>
<li>Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of Carillon Miami staff, vendors, guests, residents, and government agencies.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service and positive interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality are critical.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.</li>
<li>Ability to grasp, list, and /or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 200 lbs and sufficient manual dexterity in hands.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations.</li>
<li>Be able to work a flexible schedule if required, including weekends and holidays. </li>
