We are currently searching for an experienced Natural Gas Project Manager to support our Natural Gas Team. This position may be located in any of our Volkert offices.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering).
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $130,000, depending upon experience.

What you need to have:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering)</li>
<li>10+ years of experience in natural gas infrastructure or civil project management</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required based on degree of relevant experience</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of permitting, pipeline design, and construction techniques</li>
<li>Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools</li>
<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed</li>

POSITION CONCEPT:
This position is for an Engineer I level to Senior engineer with power plant experience and/or heavy industrial experience. This position serves as a technical employee in plant engineering, construction, operation and maintenance. The individual provides engineering and technical support to improve the reliability and availability of the generating units while reducing overall costs in the assigned systems and equipment. In this position, the engineer reports to the Maintenance Manager at Polk Power Station. This position shall serve as a focal point for specific engineering skills and be able to analyze and resolve complex issues. This position should be involved in industry seminars/workshops to continue his/her technical expertise and develop new ways of treating both old and new problems. On a periodic basis, the assigned responsibilities will change/rotate within the Polk facility or to another company location to support personal development and broader company bench strength.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Identify, evaluate, conclude, or recommend improvements to design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the assigned systems and equipment as requested</li>
<li>Support Asset Management through Critical System Review, RCA, Alarm Management, Operational Start-up Review, Process Safety Review and Mechanical Integrity Program, Risk Management and Loss Control</li>
<li>Lead Station on Loss Control, Asset Risk Management, management of change (MOC) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)</li>
<li>Develop, recommend, and maintain specifications for the maintenance, repair, and supply of assigned equipment, keep up to date equipment assessment records.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve operating upsets and recommend changes to minimize reoccurrence, lead root cause investigations to resolve problems</li>
<li>Provide technical support to plant personnel in terms of design, maintenance, repair, and operation of the assigned equipment</li>

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

<li>Develop and implement Typhoon HIL simulation files and integrate HIL Connect modules with IO modules. </li>
<li>Maintain SEL735, SEL700G, and SEL3555 hardware devices that are connected to the HIL testbed. Also included will be to deploy TCP/Modbus or C37.112 PMU servers or clients that interface with production power plant controllers by implementation of emulators. </li>
<li>Develop and maintain design, solution, and component specifications that are part of the HIL Lab to support controls logic testing and validation, either for new unit code implementations or production support issues. </li>
<li>Assist in battery power plant (BPP) Commissioning operations efforts including power dispatch, troubleshooting discrete HW issues, and coordinating with Commissioning Leads. </li>
<li>Review/coordinate design and other technical information from suppliers and contractors, including PSCAD studies and PPC control loop specification documents for transient studies. </li>
